Please read carefully in order to become a member of my cybersecurity research group.
You are welcome to come and chat with me at my office (Computer Science 1.10). Drop me an email to check my availability :)
You should check out the postgraduate application process for UWA. You can check out the process at: http://www.postgraduate.uwa.edu.au/courses.
Scholarship applicants: Please note, I do not accept Master's students seeking scholarships. Only PhD applicants are considered. If you are an international student seeking a PhD Scholarship, your GPA must be 3.7+/4, and have at least one first-authored paper published. Ideally, you have several publications (first-authored or co-authored). You are in a better position if you have recognisable relevant prizes (national or international, e.g., best paper award) or a patent, have research experience outside your degree, and your university is the top national institute.
I need the following information from you before I can be your supervisor
Your CV/resume
English test scores (you should meet the English requirements of UWA, see >>here<< for details)
Academic transcript and GPA summary
Publications (conferences, journals, etc) if any
Funding plans*
Compile the above documents into a single PDF file and send to my email.
PhD: To be a PhD student at UWA, you must meet all the enrolment requirements: >>>Link<<<
Generally speaking, you will have a Masters degree or equivalent, with at least 25% being a research component.
You are welcome to provide a brief research proposal (including references). I also have potential research topics, which I am happy to discuss further (can be found here).
* UWA and other funding bodies will provide scholarships for the right students only. Typically, you would need excellent written and verbal English, some publications, and high GPA (i.e., 3.7+/4 or higher).Â
