About Me

I am currently a Cybersecurity Lecturer at the University of Western Australia, Australia. Prior, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand from 2016 to 2018, where I also have received my PhD degree in Apr 2015.


  1. My paper titled "FUMVar: A Practical Framework for Generating Fully-working and Unseen Malware Variants" has been accepted for publication in SAC 2021 security track!

  2. All my travel activities are suspended until we can travel again.


My research is in cybersecurity. This includes (but are not limited to):

  • Security modelling and analysis of emerging computers and networks (cloud, IoT, SDN, CPS etc.)

  • Adaptive and intelligent security solutions (MTD, Deep Learning, Big Data etc.)

  • Developing secure software development practices (SDL, security in agile etc.)

  • Security education for enterprises and individuals (pedagogy, HCI etc.)

  • Humans in Cybersecurity (Cyber-human interactions and systems, cyber-aided human missions etc.)
