About Me

I am currently a Cybersecurity Lecturer at the University of Western Australia, Australia. Prior, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand from 2016 to 2018, where I also have received my PhD degree in Apr 2015.

News

  1. (NEW) 13/7/2021 - My team won the Defence Science Centre WA DaRT competition ($20,000)!

  2. (NEW) 9/7/2021 - My paper titled , "Quantifying Satisfaction of Security Requirements of Cloud Software Systems" has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions in Cloud Computing!

  3. All my travel activities are suspended until we can travel again.

Research

My research is in cybersecurity. This includes (but are not limited to):

  • Security modelling and analysis of emerging computers and networks (cloud, IoT, SDN, CPS etc.)

  • Adaptive and intelligent security solutions (MTD, Deep Learning, Big Data etc.)

  • Developing secure software development practices (SDL, security in agile etc.)

  • Security education for enterprises and individuals (pedagogy, HCI etc.)

  • Humans in Cybersecurity (Cyber-human interactions and systems, cyber-aided human missions etc.)

Teaching

In 2021, I will be teaching CITS2401 - Computer Analysis and Visualisation and CITS3002 Computer Networks in semester 1, and will be on leave in semester 2. My full teaching history can be found here.
